Seaton

Welcome

Cycling Without Age Seaton is part of a global movement. We bring generations and communities together through Trishaw rides. A Trishaw is a three-wheeled cycle with a passenger cab at the front. It offers a safe and enjoyable way to explore the outdoors. Our volunteer pilots sit behind the cab, guiding the ride and providing a warm, friendly connection.

We provide fully insured rides for:

  • Care home residents

  • People with disabilities

  • Anyone who struggles to get out and about

Passengers can enjoy the beauty of Seaton Wetlands and the picturesque seafront. They can take in the local wildlife, nature, and coastal views.

Our Journey So Far

We began in April 2024 with a crowdfunding campaign to buy Seaton’s very first Trishaw. Thanks to support from our Weymouth colleagues, we began recruiting and training volunteers.

“Our mission is more than just providing rides; it’s about fostering social connections and creating meaningful interactions. Our volunteer pilots and passengers will share stories, make memories, and revitalise those who may not have had the chance to get out recently. The physical and emotional benefits of being outdoors are undeniable, and we’re excited to offer this experience to our local community.”

Support Us

We need donations to buy another Trishaw and keep this project running. Our rides bring joy, lift spirits, and help people in Seaton reconnect with their community. We have team of trained volunteer pilots already in place.

“We need your support to help bring the joy of outdoor experiences to those who would love to get out but face barriers due to mobility challenges. Your donation can transform lives and bring people back into the heart of our local community.”

Volunteers we need your help!

Becoming a pilot is easy. You will get access to full training from our fully qualified Pilots. Our volunteer pilots and passengers will share stories, make memories, help those who may not have had the chance to get out recently.

Not all our volunteers are riders. We need people to help with media, publicity, fundraising and organising and liaising with care homes. Whatever your skillset there will be a job for you.

If your business would like to sponsor a Trishaw or advertise with us, get in touch. We’re open to all ideas that help keep this service going.

If you would like to get involved with any of the above email seaton@cyclingwithoutage.org.uk.
